Worship Ministry

The heart of First Baptist Worship Ministry is to give every person an opportunity to experience God through worship and music. We know that our church is full of people who love to sing, play an instrument, and lead others in worship. Whether you love singing in a choir, playing in the orchestra, or playing in a modern worship band, we have a place for you. There are areas to serve on all of our campuses, across all of our ministries, and in our weekend worship services.

Student Orchestra

Wednesdays from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m.

Student Orchestra is open to students in grades 7 through 12 who are currently enrolled in a school band or orchestra (or are taking private lessons). We are looking for dedicated players of every type: strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion. No audition is required, and there is no cost to join or participate (membership at First Baptist Church is not required).

The group performs throughout the year at numerous church functions, worship services, and in various venues in and around Wichita Falls. They attend several concerts during the year in Dallas, Fort Worth or Oklahoma City. For more information contact the Music Office at (940)723-2764 ext 2150.
