Semester Classes ~ January 8 – April 16

6:30 | FirstMen – Life Under the Sun – series in Ecclesiastes | 13 Weeks | Room 357 | Justin Bindel

We all want meaning, purpose, significance, and enjoyment in our lives. Yet, the more we try to find lasting satisfaction in either our accomplishments or the world’s pleasures the less fulfilled we become. We grow more dissatisfied as we attempt to find eternal significance in the temporary nature of life. Our problem is we’re trying to find meaning in our lives apart from the author of our lives. The message of Ecclesiastes isn’t defined as all of life is unsubstantial, meaningless and nothing matters; it’s because of God as the source of all meaning and goodness, as we live the life we are given, EVERYTHING matters!

6:30 | Women: Under the Sun | 13 Weeks | Room 358 | Jayme Wood

How do we find enjoyment and purpose in a life rooted in God, when all around us feels empty, unsatisfying, and void of meaning? Join us on Wednesday nights, this spring, as we dig into the wisdom-rich book of Ecclesiastes. Chapter after chapter will enrich our hearts with the reminder that this life matters because God is our true source of all meaning and goodness.

6:30 | “The I AM Statements of Jesus” | 8 Weeks | Room 359 | Phil Patterson

This study provides an in-depth look at the seven
I AM statements Jesus says about Himself, all found in the Gospel of John. Each of Jesus’ I AM statements give assurance to His followers today that He is sufficient for all our needs.

6:30 | ***Doing Life with Your Adult Children | 9 Weeks | Room 356 | Lewis Howard

In our study we will navigate the toughest and most rewarding parts of parenting your grown children and seek to offer practical answers to questions like these: Is it okay to give advice to my grown child?

  • What’s the difference between helping financially and enabling?
  • What boundaries should I set if my child moves back home?
  • How do I relate to my grown child’s significant other?
  • How can I support my grown children when I don’t support their values?

6:30 | REVIVE – Exodus – The Journey Continues | 13 Weeks | East Sanctuary | Randy Osborn

REVIVE kicks off with THE MOST dramatic event in human history – THE CROSSING OF THE RED SEA! At that point, we will have finished the story of RESCUE. And then we will begin the story of RESTORATION. The remainder of the Book of Exodus gives us perhaps THE CLEAREST PICTURE of how God restores His children. If you are His child, then join us each Wednesday @ 6:30, to understand more clearly who your Father is, who you are to Him, and how He is restoring you to ‘mint condition!’

6:30 | Re/Engage (married couples) | 14 weeks | Lory Hall | Scott & Marla Boswell
