Message from our Pastor
2020 has presented us with a dizzying array of crises. It seems that every week there is some new issue that has us alarmed all over again. As I write this I am acutely aware that by the time you read these words there may be some other doomsday scenario that is looming over us.
The Covid-19 pandemic has certainly overshadowed and altered every plan that our church had made for the summer. The regular rhythm of our church has been disrupted by the need for social distancing and extra layers of disinfecting. While many of our church family have re-engaged in worship, there are still others who do not feel comfortable gathering in large groups. No matter which group you are in, please know that we respect your decision to do what is best for you.
LIFE groups present a more difficult problem for us. Our LIFE groups are built on proximity. We want to be close together for LIFE group. Our custodians have gone above and beyond in the past few weeks, but we have neither the manpower nor the equipment to disinfect the worship center and every LIFE group room two or three times on a Sunday. We are putting together a plan for the relaunch of LIFE groups in August.
I am very hopeful that as we get nearer to August that we can begin to “normalize” our rhythms and routines. Until then, let me thank you again for your faithfulness to attend or watch, your faithfulness to give and your patience.
